I’m listening to the maga members chatter over yard radio. Now everyone involved in this conversation has never served except one dude and I on this shift in the yard , he was a red leg cool dude politically thinks as I do. He just pulled up next to me in yard horse and said are you gonna tell them or should i, when you enlist you give up all constitutional rights , I’m not getting involved I told him. these people live in a alternate reality.

14. I got a bunch of vaccines the morning I was inducted into the Army.

It was a high-speed operation, no needles, just guns that used hydraulic pressure to blast vaccines into the arms of the hundreds who were moving through the long line.

I'm not sure what vaccines I got, it didn't seem that the staff was open to questions from us inductees.

17. I have been on both sides of the needles and vaccination guns.

As an enlistee at basic training, I had all the required vaccination required at that time—1965 induction Vietnam.

No one asked me if I wanted the shots. Or what the shots were or if there were possible side effects. GET IN LINE! Roll up both sleeves.

Also, no one asked me if I wanted my wisdom teeth extracted. All I heard was this might sting a little, and you will get numb. 10-15 later Dentist arrived with the tool in hand. Ten minutes later, he was gone, and 4 wisdom teeth were in a stainless tray. I spit blood for a day or two.

Now for the other side. I became a medic, and I sometimes was "volunteered" to administer the vaccination to others. My permanent party duty station was in the south, and most enlisted service members were on MOBILE status, with the possibility of 24-hour notice of deployment.

During that 24 hours, you would likely get all the shots you had in basic training PLUS any specific shot required for the location where you were to be deployed. Vietnam required YELLOW fever vaccination.

So to all the whiners, liars, and selfish snowflakes on the mostly GQP side.

STFU, roll-up sleeve, and get in the F...ing line. So YOU don't kill some innocent kid or your senior grandparents.

Lean into it, they told us. A whole bunch is people make an error and jerked at the wrong moment, blood ran down their arms. Don’t even remember what shots they were, but still here . They worked, thanks science.
