Best to work to shape public opinion and the narrative as best you can if that's going to happen.

Sexists like him can never admit to being wrong, no, the women speaking out against him have to have some sort of ulterior motive.

He's not resigning, because he knows what he did was wrong. He's resigning for political purposes.
