There is no reason to cry about him not getting due process, after confessing he chose to resign because he didn't want the embarrassment of a very public impeachment trial. He will get to present his case before a judge though, a complaint has been filed and a trial will be held. Yes there was a loud public outcry but after Cuomo's statement today it turns out to be well founded, regardless of whether you accept his claim that he didn't know what he was doing was wrong it was still unacceptable and liberals were right to expect him to do the right thing and resign.

(15,325 posts)Cuomo's resignation was strategic, that it allows the critical election to save the NY Democratic Party from the onslaught & possible loss to SOMEBODY who would Pardon Trump, Trump family org, or his corrupt mobsters.
NY has a chance to rid their State of one more criminal org.
Repubs are already strategizing & by resigning, Cuomo abruptly pulled a big damaging page from their books.
