The media needs to work on priorities.

I just checked CNN online.

ANDREW CUOMO RESIGNS is at the top of the page.

Smaller and to the left is Senate passes bipartisan infrastructure bill. Also not in all caps.

Seems to me that bill is way more significant.

The Senate passage is important but the story is still dependent on what the House does. Cuomo's resignation (and the fact it was unexpected) is the significant story of the moment.

Observation: 45 comments here on Cuomo resignation in LBN; 9 on Infrastructure Bill

What Cuomo does not affect me in TN, the infrastructure bill affects the country.

New York is simply not the country, even though much of the media acts like it is.

It's nowhere near as important as the media is making it out to be.

Passage of the infrastructure bill is far more important and lasting to the whole country.

The thread count here is likely because many people see things on TV or print articles and post it here. Your observation reflects that, since it's been wall-to-wall on TV most of the day.

My observation is that this is just one more occasion that shows why I think the focus of our corporate media coverage is such a problem.

Whether they heard from people or not, they've made adjustments.
