(4,999 posts)Look at what's happened to deaths per day now, skyrocketing just like cases were a couple of weeks ago.
LA, AR, MO will be following this trend too, I wonder if the age demographic in FL makes the death rate higher. Sadly, we will know how this experiment of cruelty turns out.

(60,010 posts)14,000 new cases last week....8,600 deaths.
they use the 11,654 death figure still, not mentioning that 4500 of those deaths were the entire 2020 year. so now, they report 11,000 plus for all of Covid, but not that over 8,000 dead was from Jan. to July of THIS year.
Twice as many dead in half the time so far.
People are more scared, they've finally realized how bad Delta is.
Our Ala. county is masking schools. offices, etc. and keeping distance rules. Fuck the chickenshit Gov. who is seen wearing a mask but refuses to order masking or lockdowns.
she sez the kids had to start school this week.
Entering year 2 of home isolation. fortunately, we are both hermits by nature.
Thank god we have a choice to stay home.

Do they have 30 things plugged into one outlet?

(725 posts)Is that medical equipment plugged into that outlet?
Hospital rooms have some number of electrical outlets that are red, indicating that they are supplied by circuits with emergency backup power. In the event of a power failure, generators supply an uninterrupted supply of electricity. Critical medical equipment should always be plugged into red outlets.
Commandeered office areas, cafeterias, etc. are not equipped with emergency backup power outlets, so if there is a power failure, life support equipment such as ventilators in those areas will stop working.
Aside from the risk of tripping a circuit breaker with that many devices plugged into one circuit, there is a tropical storm heading toward south Florida, so weather related power outages are likely.
I am certain the hospital staff are doing their best with the resources available to them. What a horrible position republican leadership has placed these poor patients and medical workers into.

(23,147 posts)The smart right wingers are all vaccinated, even if they don't admit it. They are perfectly fine with deliberately killing their less intelligent brothers and sisters so they can blame the deaths on the Dems.

(25,982 posts)I do not understand how a political leader tasked with the public trust can be so blatantly responsible for the deaths of citizenry and no one steps up to call for his resignation. There is piecemeal pushback from cruise ship companies and various school districts, but no one is actively trying to stop him. No one. It's horrifying.

Then I want him prosecuted for murder.
More of his supporters will have to die though, especially the grandkids. My God these people are completely delusional!

(12,480 posts)Won't give him a place to go to when he runs away. We got a goddamn republican governor who let trump visit fort McHenry during quarantine despite people telling him they didn't want trump setting foot in Baltimore after calling Baltimore a shit hole.
Hogan another damn republican tfg ass kisser.
