Fox's "Straight News" Spreads DISINFORMATION About Vaccines Yet Again!

SUMMARY (in case you don't want to read all this).

Fux Noise is spinning the idea that there's no need to get vaccinated if you've already had some form of COVID-19. Yesterday they had Dr. Francis Collins (head of NIH) on, and he told them that the CDC has just published a paper showing you get a greater than two fold protection from catching COVID-19 if you've been vaccinated than if you've already caught it and survived it. Today Fux Noise had one of their OWN 'experts' on to say "Oh no, that's not what the CDC paper said at all! It only showed that if you get vaccinated, your odds of catching COVID-19 are 1 in 2,500, verses if you've had actual COVID your chances of catching it again are 1 in 1000. "

Oh yeah. Those two statements are not the same at all. FUCK YOU, FOX NEWS. You're literally KILLING people with this bullshit!

Here's the long version:

A few days ago on Special Report, Bill "High Roller" Bennet appeared on their discussion panel, and quoted a paper saying half the people in the country have already had COVID, and therefore herd immunity wasn't far off. Somebody needs to tell this corrupt sack of dog mess that there are SEVEN members of the Coronaviridae family, four of which are harmless. It's true that probably half the people in the country have had one of the harmless members of the family, but that provides NO IMMUNITY from the three members that are lethal.

So, thanks to asshats like Bill Bennet and others, there is a myth circulating that, if you've had any kind of a coronavirus already, there's no need to get vaccinated. (Apparently the real doctors managed to convince the orange shitstain that this isn't true, because he got vaccinated IN SECRET after having had Covid, as did Milania and Baron. And yet they're perfectly content to let their base walk around thinking they're 'probably' immune already, and have no need to be vaccinated.)

Yesterday, they had Dr. Francis Collins (head of NIH) on, and Brett "Chimpanzee" Baier asked him if it was TRUE that, if you'd already had Covid-19, there's no need to get vaccinated. Collins told him it was NOT true.

BAER: “Can you definitively say to somebody that the vaccine provides better protection than the antibodies that you get from actually having HAD COVID-19?

COLLINS: “Yes, Brett, I can. There was a study published by CDC just ten days ago in Kentucky, and they looked specifically at people who had natural infection, and people who’d been vaccinated and then ended up getting infected again. What was the protection level? It was more than two fold better in the people who had the vaccine, in terms of protection, than people who had the natural infection.

Well, we can't have THAT! So, today, Fux Noise invited one of their resident quacks, Dr. Brett Giroir, a pediatrician from the Trump Administration to muddy the waters.

Guest host Gallagher: "Admiral, you say that Dr. Collins’ statement is incorrect, why?”

Giroir: “I have enormous respect for Dr. Collins…but it’s factually incorrect. It has not been shown that natural immunity, the immunity you have after an infection, is any inferior to the immunity you have after vaccination. …what it (the study quoted by Collins) proved was, that if you were previously infected, your chance of getting COVID was about 1 in 1000, to get reinfected again. If you GOT vaccinated, that dropped it to about 1 in 2500.

So, let me get this straight.

Collins said that: your protection against getting Covid-19 is more than TWO FOLD greater if you've been vaccinated, than if you've actually caught Covid-19 and survived it.

And Giroir said that was wrong, and what the paper actually said was that your chances of getting Covid-19 are 1 in 2500 if you were vaccinated, and 1 in 1000 if you'd actually had Covid-19.

Um...going from 1 in 1000 to 1 in 2500 IS A 'MORE THAN TWO FOLD increase in protection,' you f--king MORON! Can somebody please shut this goddamn network down BEFORE THEY GET US ALL KILLED?

Here's the actual paper, if anybody's interested:
