"Where are all the missing children?" . . . What missing children???

It seems like there is another cooked-up lie going around about missing children.

I've heard two people in the last week speaking, respectively, to a school board and a group of country commissioners claiming the pandemic is not real and then asking where all the missing children are.

It sounds like this is being spread on Oan or Newsmax or . . . ???

Does anyone know where this is coming from?

They've been going on for YEARS about all these white children being kidnapped and trafficked (NOT the children at the border, of course-- they're not white, don't count) and turned into "adrenochrome" for Democrat Demons to drink. (They are demonstrably certifiable.)

And they've been going on separately about how Covid is either/both a hoax and/or a plot by same/other Democrat Demons or foreigners to mind-lock people or kill a bunch or.... something.

Now they have an answer to the question, "Where are all the children?" which actually means, where are all the reports to police about children actually going missing (of which there are no more than there usually are). It's always been inconvenient that they couldn't really specify children who have gone missing, though they always suggested there are thousands.

But along comes Covid! Now they can say those children who died of Covid didn't really die. THEY are the missing children! They were kidnapped by the Demons, not killed by Covid! That's why no one has reported them missing, because everyone including parents is in on this hoax to claim kids are Covid-casualties when they're actually ...

It's so sick.

Sacrificing old people to COVOD for money wasn’t enough for them. Now they’re coming for the kids. Including their own.

Is there any sense now that this deranged rumor has been broadcast anew? Is Oan signal-boosting this crap currently? Is it seen as a possible distraction from the horrible ways some Republicans have been handling Covid-19?

And welcome to DU, viva la. We can always use thoughtful and knowledgeable post like this.

7. Enrollment is down 15% at my high school this year.

Some went to charters, some are homeschooled, some opted for online.

The number of "missing" kindergarteners is due to the above, but also parents holding kids back during the pandemic last year due to child care issues, etc.

My district had enrollment down something like 6% last year. Over 3600 kids didn't show up or unenrolled. This isn't including a drop-off in new pre-K and K enrollments, but students who were enrolled and who evaporated.

You could say they simply moved, but the average for this neck of the woods was more than 6%. Our "student loss" was less than average. And private schools reported the same thing.

The drop off in enrollment was also a statewide thing--so it's not like rural districts saw a large increase. And across the country, so it wasn't like 100k kids and their parents/guardians suddenly fled the state.

The facile assumption that these are home schooled is all nice and feel-good but not great. Nobody in my district at least saw a great pattern, except that at-risk/LEP/eco-dis kids formed a disproportionate number of the desaparecidos, from precisely the economic/social units that are least likely to be able to provide the support necessary for even the basics.

Now, maybe the folk you heard were deep into CT territory, but this bit is real. We were going to see how it panned out locally, but with the current Delta devastation who knows?

9. THIS... A "CT" being conflated with a real issue--After lockdown a lot of school kids never enrolled

nor did they participate in home virtual learning. Many school districts worry they have been lost to follow-up and thus education.

I am really starting to hate these people. I find myself wishing that they would all get really sick just because they deserve it.

I have got to pull myself out of this.
