This Texas teacher is on the verge of tears talking about what it’s like working in a school that isn’t allowed to require masks.

2. This sucks so bad because teacher credentials are a state thing.

She can either move to a different part of the state if all counties aren't following the maskless killing protocols, quit teaching - but how will she be able to support herself, move to another state - but that state may not accept her teaching credential from a different state.

How fucking horrible! I.can't.even.stand.it. Just can't.

4. My daughter is a teacher here in Texas.

She taught a two week class for teachers just before start of classes last Tuesday. Two of the maskless teachers in her class had COVID and gave it to the rest of the masked, vaccinated teachers, including my daughter.

My daughter teaches special needs kids and one of her sons has Downs Syndrome with a lot of health problems. Now she lives in her bedroom away from family not teaching because of Governor Abbott, her school board and a lot of ignorant, brainwashed parents.

9. A college friend teaches at a religious private school in the area.

I took a peek at their FB page yesterday and they have lots of pictures of the first day of school on Weds. Hardly any kids wearing masks, no teachers wearing masks. One pic of my friend in her classroom, zero masks in sight and it looked like kids younger than 12. Sigh.

10. Question - which do you value more, your job or your life?

Living in Texas seems like it would be a constant near death experience.

How did they end up with a Governor like they have - wonder, did they know that he would base all his decisions on issues that affect their lives using stupidity as his guide?
