We have numerous cues that give us a quick take on who’s smart.

One is to ask someone to read a passage from the text. Remember how trump would stumble over the words of something he was reading, many times mispronouncing words? The only one of this group who can read coherently is Tuckems, as Joy Reid calls him. He’s been doing it on his job for decades, which is probably why he can do so.


Another is to watch the eyes. Hutchinson is the dullard here, MTG, too.
