(50,314 posts)something it isn't. It wasn't a noble cause to begin with. We spent billions of dollar, sacrificed many lives and spent 2 decades training the Afghani soldiers - yet they fled. There's no reason we should care more about their country than they apparently do. The media is also forgetting the origins of this leaving. The deal was made under Trump and Trump negotiated directly with the Taliban. Trump, in fact, was planning a Camp David ceremony WITH the Taliban to celebrate the leaving. If there's anything good to come of this mess it's the fact ex-Dear Leader must be twisting himself into pretzels trying to figure out how he can get his mug on television to trash Biden without addressing his own culpability.
