The media sure loves war

They were one of the main culprits on how Bush was successful in getting us stuck in Iraq and Afghanistan by constantly broadcasting the positive spin on war….and now that most Americans want out of Afghanistan, they are making it seem like we should stay

1. The First Gulf War started that

It was like a cheerleading section and most people went for it. I believe that era was the beginning of cable news.

2. The media ignored Afghanistan for years

now it's 24/7 for clicks and revenue

4. That's almost exactly what I said to my husband earlier. The media is turning this into

something it isn't. It wasn't a noble cause to begin with. We spent billions of dollar, sacrificed many lives and spent 2 decades training the Afghani soldiers - yet they fled. There's no reason we should care more about their country than they apparently do. The media is also forgetting the origins of this leaving. The deal was made under Trump and Trump negotiated directly with the Taliban. Trump, in fact, was planning a Camp David ceremony WITH the Taliban to celebrate the leaving. If there's anything good to come of this mess it's the fact ex-Dear Leader must be twisting himself into pretzels trying to figure out how he can get his mug on television to trash Biden without addressing his own culpability.
