We were a hurt nation and looking back it was obvious we were putty to be molded by tyrants.
I don't know what about her compelled her to do it, but Barbara Lee kept her wits about her and did right by the nation. Look at the vote:

It's strange, or maybe simple misogyny, that Obama was able to catapult to the Presidency from his Iraq vote but Lee never got any meaningful credit for this one. Iraq is so strange in being the only foreign policy mistake that political candidates are allowed to acknowledge.
