I've literally Chopped cable news most of the day and night

and am watching Guy's Grocery Games, but I checked CNN for two minutes and heard a guy full of medals say that allies won't trust the US government for removing Americans first.

So I have to ask a question - when the Slobfather released 5,000 Taliban prisoners including the new leader, negotiated with the Taliban and left out the Afghan government from the meetings, how did that engender trust with the Afghan government, people or allies?

I knew how the media would blow it totally out of proportion which they did. That country has been fighting forever, they won't even defend themselves when we give them the tools to do it. I feel for the women of that country, but there is just nothing we can do other than stay there fighting forever.

Somebody had to do it. Trump letting 5000 of the Taliban go before he hit the door didn't help, but he knew that. It gave them time to plan for just what happened make it happen faster, and give the GOP the reason to blame Biden.

Trump, Bush and Reagan are as much or more to blame for the outcome, but it was inevitable. Do I like to see people desperate to get out of a terrible situation , of course not, do I believe anything short of our staying forever, spending tons of money and lives would change the outcome, no.

Usually watch at least the 5-7 news shows.

I don't miss it - hard habit to break but I'm disgusted with their coverage.

It helped that the 2 weeks before, I was with my son, DIL and our new granddaughter. We mostly watched the Olympics and when I got home, I was busy with other stuff.

I haven’t watched this nonsense since it started.
It was always going to be like this. It didn’t matter if it was 15 years ago or 15 years from now.

I hafta go to external sources to get accurate reporting now.

On October 1st, Newsy goes to over the air broadcast in the United States, malaise.

EW Scripps says they want to fill the void of unbiased news.

I am hoping it sticks by that pledge.
