Use the saddlebags.
They finally sent me my sticker and I attached it today, with the help of a little tape. Isn't it a beautiful sight?

I have an 82 GS1100e that runs so well I whomped a rich guy with a $20,000 MV Agusta 1090........
It was like an old Cadillac stompin on a ferrari.
It is almost to cold for me in SE PA already.
Be careful & watch out for nut jobs...........

(776 posts)have fun & be careful. I would use amsoil m/c oil in that bike. Some of them had problems with cam wear but high quality synthetic oils & keeping an eye on the cams & they are pretty reliable.
I need my feet under my ass to stand up quickly to protect my back (UJM fan) but the Saber/Magna bikes were pretty bad ass.
Its gotta be fun holding on tight on that beast 0-120 in like 11 sec flat!!
My friend had one long ago & was wheeling by accident often.
Watch out for contards & have a nice weekend.
One thing I really want to see in AZ is the Grand Canyon RR, Sheriff JOe & Gov KOOkoo scare me, but in PA it ain't much better.
This guys sell amsoil & his website shows 30 synthetic m/c oils & how well they work.

I sell amsoil also but do not ship it & i live in PA & b4 anyone crys this is not a sales job.
Seriously the cams are the only weak part of that engine design but good oil & looking at them during a valve adjustment time & you should get 100,000 miles out of that bike.

(6,199 posts)we put Red Line synthetic in last month when b/f did the clutch.
We have had it up to 120 loaded with both of us- me on the back giggling like the Mad Scientist and a new Harley somewhere in the dust a half-mile behind, and it had plenty of Rs left on the tach. (this only happens with b/f, since I'm still kinda a new rider and my skill set isn't at that level yet) It's a fast lil bike, and the ride's actually pretty smooth. The article was right in that it did handle like shit stock, but dropping it a couple inches and swapping the shocks with a set off a Shadow took care of most of the handling issues, without any major work being needed. It's not so top-heavy now, and as a bonus I don't have one foot on tiptoe all the time. They didn't build those bikes for women-sized people. I love it, though.
I don't live in AZ anymore. I live in UT now. Just as bad though. Riding around with the Obama sticker should be fun.

(7,237 posts)And nice ride.
Always wanted a bike but I am too clumsy and would surely hurt myself.

(6,199 posts)but it is truly not as difficult to stay upright as you would think. Get a little bike and give it a try!
