Wow...how are these police still working? And "qualified immunity"? How is it possible this doesn't violate her civil rights??? What am I missing?

(1,351 posts)I havent been able to find an update beyond the fact that a new Scottsdale police chief has started an internal investigation. Im assuming partly due to renewed media attention. This whole thing happened in 2020, but reports with video about it have only cropped up the last couple of weeks.

(10,070 posts)qualified immunity in the new bill. I mean wasn't that one of the biggest issues that they needed to deal with?

(43,049 posts)of course, still be fired
And if they are fired, good chance they csn be sued. Good chance fhey they could be sued in this case anyway, since they were not doing their jobs. She should sue Scottsdale for all it's worth.
QI means you can't be sued over bullshit. If you are properly doing
your job and something goes wrong, you are protected. If you are not doing the job, you can, and should, be sued.
