What the reporter (Pierre Thomas) said, in closing, was that law enforcement had a lot to deal with this week, "from Al Qaeda, to domestic terrorism, to Afghanistan"

They usually do a cursory investigation and then comment.

If they find a bunch of right wing stuff at his place etc, then they will announce. But Fox, of course won't. But it isn't uncommon not to comment on a possible motive early in an investigation.
