Via email from Donald Trump Jr.s 1776 Project PAC:
There are people out there in the far-off corners of the world who hate everything that the United States of America stands for and they have made it their lifes work to destroy our country. But theyre not who Im worried about.
Im worried about the people right here in our own backyards who share the same hatred for our country as the terrorists hiding in the caves of Afghanistan.
Because when President Lincoln said America will never be destroyed from the outside if we lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves he was RIGHT.
The most dangerous threats to our republic arent hiding in caves theyre hiding in plain sight in our K-12 classrooms. Theyre training the next generation to hate our country, hate our freedom and hate our Constitution.
Because they know the generation taught to hate our country from kindergarten to college will be the one that destroys it, and surrenders us to socialism once and for all.

Yeah, the closest Lincoln got to this was warning about MAGA types and those who fool them

Its a corruption of something Lincoln said in one of his first major speeches, McWhirter said.
On Jan. 27, 1838, Lincoln spoke before the Young Mens Lyceum of Springfield, Illinois, about "the perpetuation of our political institutions." During that address, he said: "At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide."
Michael Burlingame, a chair in Lincoln studies at the University of Illinois Springfield, told us Lincoln "was denouncing mob violence which would lead to chaos, provoking the public to demand law and order, which would be provided by an ambitious leader who would rule tyrannically."

He continued:
I hope I am over wary; but if I am not, there is, even now, something of ill-omen, amongst us. I mean the increasing disregard for law which pervades the country; the growing disposition to substitute the wild and furious passions, in lieu of the sober judgment of Courts; and the worse than savage mobs, for the executive ministers of justice. This disposition is awfully fearful in any community; and that it now exists in ours, though grating to our feelings to admit, it would be a violation of truth, and an insult to our intelligence, to deny. Accounts of outrages committed by mobs, form the every-day news of the times. They have pervaded the country, from New England to Louisiana;--they are neither peculiar to the eternal snows of the former, nor the burning suns of the latter;--they are not the creature of climate-- neither are they confined to the slave-holding, or the non-slave- holding States. Alike, they spring up among the pleasure hunting masters of Southern slaves, and the order loving citizens of the land of steady habits.--Whatever, then, their cause may be, it is common to the whole country.

Wasnt it Kruschev who made that comment in 1961 about the US falling from within? Lincoln did warn about the moral decline referring to slavery.
