Former Guy's Wall - Ripped Apart By Monsoon Floods

Trump's brand new $15 billion #BorderWall is being ripped apart by monsoon floods.

This is what happens when
@DHSgov
waives all environmental laws & ignores basic science to put up a political prop.

Also, never use "trumped" as an indication of victory as in "full house trumps a pair", but do use it in the context of, "trumped up excuses".

It’s Gods plan or climate change. An entire town was destroyed, miles of damage from the river and lives lost, people still missing here in WNC. The communities hardest hit are plastered with Trump crap. On 2004 the same thing happened here, once in a 100 year flooding. I do feel horrible for the victims. My question to those that had lives destroyed again, was it Gods plan or climate change? Evidently God or the climate, hate when fleeing refugees are treated as we do. Or maybe just hate trump and his cult. 95 percent of those in the flooded community here, are hard core religious. Hard to call it Christian.

Their locations were secret. They were put there so Warsaw Pact tanks could bust through should things get hot.

I doubt that was the reason here, though.

People fall for anything, especially if it falls within your preferred world view.

IMO, any meme, tweet, etc. you see without a legit source should be presumed fake until shown to be otherwise. Not that that's going to stop people from posting the stuff, of course.

(article from January 2020)

NACO, Ariz. — President Trump's border wall probably will require the installation of hundreds of storm gates to prevent flash floods from undermining or knocking it over, gates that must be left open for months every summer during "monsoon season" in the desert, according to U.S. border officials, agents and engineers familiar with the plans.

The open, unmanned gates in remote areas already have allowed for the easy entry of smugglers and migrants into the United States.

At locations along the U.S. southern border where such gates already are in operation, Border Patrol agents must manually raise them every year before the arrival of the summer thunderstorms that convert riverbeds into raging torrents that carry massive amounts of water and debris, including sediment, rocks, tree limbs and vegetation. Trump's wall, which features 30-foot metal bollards spaced four inches apart, effectively acts as a sewer grate that traps the debris; when clogged, the barriers cannot withstand the power of the runoff.

Open Gates on the border
Multiple videos taken along the US-Mexico border shows an open gate in Arizona’s the border wall.

In it, there is neither a migrant nor border patrol agent in sight. Almost every mile of the border wall there are open gates,” said Laiken Jordahl with the Center for Biological Diversity.

The gates are left open during the summer to prevent flooding.

Years ago when I worked at a facility treating injured victims of falls from these stupid fences/walls I certainly became all the more dug in that this symbolic facade has no business being there.
Exactly which portion of "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to be free" don't some comprehend?

It's like everything he's ever done in his life, looks OK for a while but didn't consider much behind the scenes or keep it up after the sale, does it on other people's money, and leaves them holding the bag.
