Ok Gayle said it’s all good! So glad everyone in attendance are all vaccinated! Quickly checked in on different platforms and was worried as it looked like any other superspreader event with tons of maskless people. Whew!! Not today Delta, not hecking today!!

even though they're vaccinated - so it was still a stupid idea to go through with this concert.

Vaccinated individuals wth COVID are just as infectious as those who aren't vaccinated - and are less likely to get tested when they have cold symptoms (or none) because they believe themselves invincible because they are vaccinated.

Two cases at work - one confident enough to announce to everyone that she was sure it wasn't COVID (until the test came back positive the next day). Fortunately, she is a rule follower, stayed home, and got tested. But it was two days before the mask mandate at work - and my employee (who fortunately never stopped wearing a mask) was exposed. Fortunately, her mask kept her safe.

The second ignored symptoms for several days, deliberately ignored the mask rules, exposed two we have identified (and up to 90 more we can't specifically identify). Then lied to contact tracers.
(Fortunately, we had some information - unfortunately they only contacted us AFTER 3 days of being unable to contact the person for more information. In the mean time, one of the known exposures went home for a funeral, and the up to 90 had a mass party at whch food was served.) I'm just waiting for the ripples from that one.

And we haven't even hit the first day of classes yet.
