(6,690 posts)recovered anti - Vax types where not really all there to start with. If the study involved any of those then not a good study. And I am not being sarcastic. We have to know where people started before illness to know the after.

(109 posts)Yes, I agree. Anti-vaxers have cognitive impairment to begin with. We would need to see before and after scores to know whether Covid had any effect on mental function.

(4,394 posts)effects even before Co-Vid long-haul cases reducing IQ's and cognitive functions. Even questionable studies, i.e., for fluoride in water; glyphosate herbicides leading to GMOs and pesticides in food, propylene glycol as in Mio water flavorings, leaching chemical in our cookware, absorbable toxins through the skin in cosmetics, measurable antibiotics and chemically synthesized anti-depression medications that only hit on a portion of brain functionality getting through the waste water processing and into other water and living creatures, even personal household learned helplessness and trauma that impacts cognitive brain functioning for mental health that can be transgenerational yet very difficult to "prove." Data is so easily tipped and tainted even before all those random, double-blind, peer-reviewed testing; those peers did not necessarily find truthiness through their educations, either. Of course, science likely knows the best way forward; yet it sometimes leads to upheavals and controversy in our knowledge bases with much to unlearn and question, like what effects variants and mutations of what was once very simply only the cause of non-lethal common colds.

(11,336 posts)My opinion - should be treated as a (very) very preliminary set of 'findings' - and judgement should be withheld for (a good deal) more study and confirmation.
