Josh Mandel continues to be an idiot. He posted this tweet on his social media account on Friday, congratulating a SICK worker for coming in to work her food service job at a restaurant called Inside The Five Brewing Company (website).

Joshua Aaron Mandel (born September 27, 1977) is an American politician who served as the 48th treasurer of Ohio from 2011 to 2019. A member of the Republican Party, he previously was the Ohio State Representative for the 17th district from 2007 to 2011. He was the unsuccessful Republican challenger to Democratic incumbent Sherrod Brown in the 2012 U.S. Senate election.

In 2016, Mandel announced his intention to challenge Brown yet again in 2018, but later withdrew from the race. He is once again running for the Senate, this time to succeed two-term incumbent Republican Rob Portman, who announced he would not seek re-election in 2022.

Every January the president of the company would have a special lunch for those employees. I worked next to one. She came into work no matter how sick she was, sniffling, coughing, spreading her germs. And of course, our manager wouldn't have dreamed to tell her to go home.

America is sick. At too many companies, it's a badge of honor to work the most number of hours, even if you don't get compensated for it. Come in early, work through lunch, stay late, come in sick, work from home after hours & on weekends. Sacrifice your private life for the company. It's the American thing to do.

and paid the remainder in January of the next year for those you didn't use. Also paid for any unused vacation time. They put 1 1/2 % of your gross in your 401K plan and matched up to 6% more. No deductible or copay on free health insurance. This was in Florida in the late 80s and early 90s.

She came to work because she HAD to come to work, because there is a possibility she would be fired if she didn't, she would definitely lose income, and likely with no health insurance, going deeper in the hole because one isn't at work, well don't make sense!

Like wenches or fans of athletic league sports? Would the "team doc" send them back on the field? Yep, somewhere between I guess to you bet...zap 'em with drugs and out they go for the win above the loss of their career choice, concussions, injuries, probably even bronchitis...Hey, they can still be great politicians and/or restaurant owners who understand respect for a human body that is sick, injured, or in the wrong place, mentally, right? and still get that million dollar salary and the best paid healthcare.
