They have to know that the medication is not approved nor indicated to treat Covid and that people are being harmed (as evidenced by increased calls to poison control hotlines)? Can they be sanctioned for prescribing it for anything other than its intended use?

If they are prescribed a human dose and take it accordingly, it shouldn't kill them.

(24,426 posts)why are doctors prescribing it for unapproved purposes? I'm sure that, like with HCL, there are legitimate uses of it, but surely not everybody is using it for those purposes and are instead using it to prevent/treat COVID even though it's not approved for it, nor data to indicate that it is anything but a placebo when it comes to COVID.
