How would the media have covered it if Biden had disarmed the Afghan military before leaving?

We trained and armed the Afghan military for 20 years. When they laid down their weapons and surrendered without a fight, the Taliban took those weapons. Yet somehow, CNN and others are treating this as a major miscalculation by Biden. How does that even make sense??

I guarantee you that Biden would have been accused of abandoning the Afghans if he insisted that the U.S. military take back every weapon that we previously provided to the Afghan military.

This coverage just keeps getting dumber and dumber.
