Running an errand, listening to a local NPR station from Charlotte NC - re school and COVID

Apparently the chairman of the school board is a trumper, and completely ignored any health warnings from professionals, instead parrotting the Faux line.

And that led me to ponder one of the key reasons we are where we are in this country - the propaganda/brainwashing of right wing radio and TV (which of course is not fact-based or actual news, but opinion - meaning entertainment to bring in money).

When half of the country trusts entertainment more than health professionals and science - not only are we screwed, but the children are screwed. This is a form of abuse. Actually, when I think of what TFG did for so long and what decades of hate filled, distorted propaganda have done - it is to me a form of murder we are seeing unfolding - with a good dose of suicide.

I was only in the car listening for about 10 minutes, but that was enough. The intellectual and political state of our country today make it a sitting duck for a pandemic.

established fact. The Republicans DO NOT CARE how many people die while Biden is in office. They figure they can and will use that statistic against him in the next election

Union is a hotbed of trumpers and is mask-optional.

Mike Collins does that show, and he’s great. On every morning at 9. You can hear his utter frustration with the way these school boards stick their heads in the sand.

younger. But radio is on the internet now. Individual stations, like WNYC in nyc, which has excellent programming has its own app. Then there are aggregators of stations, like Radiogarden, http://radio.garden/settings ,which gives access to stations all over the world, on a googleearth platform. It’s intoxicating!
