1. Yeah, fights happen all the time at games.

People are idiots. It’s a rare thing indeed when I attend a large public event of any kind with lots of drinking that doesn’t feature at least one fistfight. It tends to happen more at sporting events but you see it everywhere.

Believe it or not, we’ve gotten better about this over the years. The 70’s and 80’s were nuts with all the violence.

2. Year ago I attended a preseason hockey game between the Boston Bruins and the Pittsburg Penguins in

Worcester, MA. I think it was billed as a exhibition game.
On a side note there, at least back then, was always bad blood between the two teams. The league was trying to promote less violence on the ice that season. Well the game turned very physical and it seemed to spill into the stands. A brawl broke out behind us and bodies were flying over ows etc. While I refrained from getting into the mix I put my girlfriend in front of me to shield her from the fight going on behind us. I had been to games at the old Boston Garden that weren't that bad. This was basically a corporate section. We were given tickets from a friend who couldn't attend..

All of the high emotions (especially after a pandemic lock down ) does not appeal to me at all.
