Has a corner been turned?

Maybe its just me, but I am sensing a change in the national mood. There seems to be a steady drumbeat of scorn for those who don't want to be vaccinated. With vax aversion being tied much more to politics and not public health, this seems like a shift to the light of the left and not the hate of the right.

Yeah, maybe its just me . . . . .

A woman I work with had Covid, and as of this morning is still insisting she's not getting the vaccine.

She's also saying Governor Murphy should be 'impeached' for blaming the Covid Resurgence on people like her.

It's not happening. But anti-vaxxers believe things. They "know" things that the rest of us don't. So frustrating.

In that case she wouldn't need the vaccine, she's part of the "herd immunity" they keep talking about. The vaccine is for those who can't risk getting infected, because for many of us it's a death lottery.

Also the other issue is the safety of our families ... maybe we might survive getting the virus, but for other family members it would be deadly.

None of this means that Covid is a hoax. It just means that anti-vaxxers are willingly brainwashed and fatally stupid.

7. My brother is a Covid Long Hauler

He had it in March 2020, February 2021 - then vacinnated.

Guess who tested positive, and ended up in the hospital for two nights three weeks ago.

He has the high blood pressure, no sense of taste or smell, lethargy, extreme exhaustion -

He didn't have these issues prior to his second round of Covid. Ran 2 or 3 miles a day, total health nut, doesn't drink or smoke, always hiking or at the gym. If there are long term C-19 benefits - I want anyone who is not fully vaccinated by September 30th of this year that is over the age of 18 to be blocked from ever receiving it.

My co-worker is a fucking idiot. When she gets it again - the Delta or worse variant - not one iota of sympathy.

And she wears her fucking mask under her nose.

Sorry not sorry - I have zero tolerance for those who inflict wounds on themselves, that could have been prevented.

The antibodies from natural infection are at much lower concentrations than those who are vaccinated. Natural immunity appears limiting.

Of course... we've been there before only to see new peaks.

One can only hope.

Now we're drenched in red again, thanks to the dumb-fuck red-staters. Fuck 'em. Fuck every single one of them, who can get a vax but doesn't. I never thought I'd say this, but I support a triage system that puts them at the end of the line for treatment. They should pay higher insurance premiums, too. Fuckit. Let's make them wear a giant red A. I'm sick of living with the consequences of their dumb ass decisions.

that even the true believers (white Trumpers) can’t avoid seeing the obvious. Everyone else is looking at them like the idiots they are.

and we are really upset about it. My husband suspects they lifted mask requirements for the tourist/beach season.

In Maryland we saw increasing numbers of people wearing masks in recent weeks. I can't speak for other counties but Montgomery County imposed new stricter mask regulations at least a week ago.

I told his wife that if he was not vaccinated, we could meet in the park. She informed us they were vaxxed in March. I was shocked.

That and talking to my brothers, they are starting to sound like calming radical lefties. Neither was much interested in politics before. Both have said they will never vote for Republican.

My concern now is the young children. I hope the vaccines w be approved for the little ones under 12 very soon as the # of sick kids are increasing by day.
