That's what's being heard from House GOPers as they justify their votes against the voting rights bill. According to them, everything at the ballot box is just beauteous and wonderful for people of color. Uh huh.

(10,053 posts)while the chaos is ongoing in Afghanistan and of course there is the crisis at the border. Someone needs to stand up and tell them that just because the GOP can only focus on one thing at a time, the governing party is able to govern on many fronts at once.

group to just die so they can have all the power. It's up to the "us" to make sure they lose.

(15,805 posts)The GOPers are now using numbers from the last election to prop up their claim that the voting rights law is not needed. As if that isn't precisely the reason for all the suppression attempts across republican-led legislatures. As if that wasn't a driving force behind the events of January 6th.
The bill isn't seeking to undo anything. It seeks to prevent such undoing, and THAT freaks them out.
