Paul Begala on Biden/Pelosi agreement on $3.5T reconciliation bill. Biden calls Pelosi "masterful"..

....in the handling of his budget resolution.

Begala calls Speaker Pelosi "the woman who will go down in history as the greatest speaker of our time - perhaps of all time."

It will be interesting to see the details emerge. I doubt she had to give up much, a lot of pressure was being applied.

The propensity of our 'moderate' wing for this kind of brinksmanship continues to get right up my left nostril. As you know, I have little taste for the 'lefter than thou' elements, but taking the actions of officeholders only, the 'moderate' faction causes far more difficulty.

Pelosi outside House chamber when she was going to retire and give somebody younger a chance? There is NO better vote counter than Pelosi and it looks like she's an even better strategist. I thought at the time it was an entitled and insolent question and I have thought of that moment many times in the past few years.

I often think that's one of the things wrong in Congress (and the Senate) now. Nobody wants to sit back and observe and learn how things work. The Republicans want to be outrageous and don't even know what the rules are but follow McCarthy's instructions and push outrageous things to get on TV and show their people they're "working" for them.

What an annoying little twerp he was. Now he's ancient history and Pelosi is still making history. Sometimes there is no substitute for the experience that comes with age.
