The claim: The Taliban is selling abandoned, U.S.-supplied armored vehicles online
As the Taliban swept across Afghanistan in mid-August, it recovered U.S.-supplied military equipment abandoned by fleeing Afghan forces. Now, social media users say the Islamic fundamentalist group is looking to turn a profit.

The text is presented as a headline from the Pakistan Tribune. It's overlaid on an image of a man leaning out of an armored vehicle, with a purported advertisement on the right-hand side.

But the claim is wrong the Taliban isn't listing U.S.-supplied armored vehicles for sale on social media.
The claim originated on an Instagram page that posted it as satire. USA TODAY could find no other evidence that the Taliban is selling armored vehicles recovered from fleeing Afghan forces on the internet.
