I hate it.

I am not bashing Biden in this article, I understand intellectually that Afghanistan has to be seen in the rear-view mirror for so many reasons, but I hate it. I blame Trump for the rapid takeover by the Taliban he let out of prison 3 years ago, and, I will condemn him and his reckless administration for what is about to befall the women and girls of Afghanistan, for ever, and I hate them for it.

I know that for most in the West, brown women and girls a world away are not a priority, but as someone who contributed to charities for women and girls just trying to stay alive under the last Taliban death cult, I hate it. You can be very sure when Tump and Pompeo were sucking Taliban dick for short term headlines, they gave not one moment of thought to what a resurgent Taliban would mean for women and girls. And here we are.

I hate that woman are not only looking down the lens of losing their hard-won freedoms over the last 20 years but that, as sure as night follows day, women are going to lose their lives as we leave. I hate the fact that the women who stood up for and supported and engaged with civic society over the last 20 years are those now most at risk from the Taliban. Female singers, soccer players, judges, newsreaders, legislators, teachers to name a few are all about to be targeted, with execution or forced marriage, depending on their age, being the most likely outcomes.

Women are being turned away from universities and places of work.

Girls are being turned away from school.

The Taliban are already going door to door and the Chador has doubled in price.

I hate it.

They’re the ones who were being educated and expecting freedom, yet they’ll be forced to marry illiterate Taliban warriors at very young ages. They will likely be brutalized physically, emotionally, and mentally—and many will be mothers by age 14 when they should just be in school. If girls are allowed to go to school, I doubt they’ll be taught anything but how to read the Quran. Unless they have changed greatly, the Taliban will return the country to the Dark Ages.

and there are many, many opportunities for everyone who is committed as I am and you are to get involved at least by contributing money to those efforts around the Muslim world.

Can't we name many non-Muslim countries where girls aged 14 become mothers? Are you aware of the putrid cesspool of misogyny right here?

"According to the World Population Review:

As of July 1, 2019, 12 states have no minimum age when all exemptions are taken into account, such as requiring parental consent and a judge's approval. These states are:

California
Idaho
Maine
Massachusetts
Michigan
Mississippi
New Mexico
Oklahoma
Rhode Island
Washington
West Virginia
Wyoming"

Shame. shame, shame on us. Let's empty our own cesspool so we can better and more honestly demand action around the world.

I define right-wing talking points as based on lies. There is nothing but truth about the past brutality of the Taliban and what they did to women and girls—and probably will do again once the eyes of the Western world are not on them.

The closest I can come to this being a right-wing talking point is the assumption that we could prevent Taliban rule by staying in Afghanistan forever at the cost of more war and more trillions of dollars as the Taliban would once again attack troops stationed there. That was never in the cards and not supported a majority of the US public.

They treat women like crap because they are indoctrinated to believe an imaginary, all powerful being in the sky wants it that way. Talk about mind control.

Every religion that I know of encouges the abuse of women. From the Catholics who blame women for men wanting sex to Evangelicals who want to stop women from getting a medical procedure and birth control. To the Hindus where some women are still not considered guardians of their own children or able to inherit property.

Take away the imaginary being in the sky and by what authority do men have to abuse women? Yeah, and just because a lot of women cozy up with their abusers, doesn't make the abuse moral.

Yeah, it is awful what men are doing to women in Afghanistan because of their religious indoctrination It is also horrible what men are doing to women all over the world because of religion.

I remember articles starting to appear more and more about the Taliban and their disgusting oppression of women (and destruction of holy or historical sites)

A month later, 9/11 occurred and the media forgot all about the women, as they will now, I'm sure.

Are monsters sometimes. Too long have women been brutalized by bad men.

Someone needs to start disarming the bad men who use a penis as a weapon.

Also disarm bad men that use that weapon as an excuse to dominate women..and run thier lives.

Chop chop.
