As the COVID-19 pandemic continues in Canada and around the world, and epidemiologists warn of a dangerous fourth wave, British Columbia and Manitoba have brought back indoor mask mandates. (Graham Hughes/The Canadian Press)

Epidemiologists are warning of rising caseloads and a dangerous fourth wave of COVID-19 — just when many people thought life was finally getting back to normal. This week, several provincial governments changed their pandemic policies in response. Both British Columbia and Manitoba brought back indoor mask mandates.

There are musical interludes which are a bit irritating, but the discussion is captivating for anyone that believes we are a long way from beating this virus.

I do.

The reality is this is going to become an endemic instead of pandemic. People are just going to have to get used to get wearing masks. And getting booster shots just like the flu until covid finally becomes more like the flu and doesn't put so many in the hospital/ICU or change your sense of smell or literally make you stupid or make your kidneys fail or f****** your lungs permanently.
