2. the result of changing in how they attribute deaths

it's in the other news from the day.
They used to attribute deaths the day they process them.
Up to now, if they process 200 deaths today, they would post them today, whether the person died yesterday, or 5 days ago.
Now, they rewind the deaths back to the day the person died. So if they process 200 deaths today, only like 5 might go to today. 30 will probably go to yesterday, 40 to 2 days ago, and the rest to days even further back.

By this formula, it's harder to tell if your deaths are actually going up or not, you can tell a few days later... Just what the trend is. Today/yesterday will always look like mortality went down.

3. I am in Florida, and my understanding is....

Florida changed from reporting deaths daily to reporting deaths weekly.
CDC divides the weekly count by 7 to publish it's daily numbers.
