If this witchhunt is allowed to happen in Texas

And lawsuits are allowed by citizens against citizens for abortions we need to find ways to fight.

I'm menopausal and if someone were to ask me I'd give consent to use my real name when an abortion is performed. I don't live in Texas and it's obvious I didn't have an abortion because I don't need one. Spread misinformation far and wide.

The other side is good at misinformation campaigns. We need to do something similar. Let the names of menopausal women fill up every docket to clog up the courts and prove it's all frivolous. Is it a solution? No, but it's a start.

Misinformation drives everywhere. We purposely seed the wrong information without proof that it directly came from us. Drop those names with fake addresses at all the Right to Life booths, Pregnancy Alternative centers, etc and let them have a free day filing. If someone files against me it's pretty easy to pull up medical records showing I entered menopausal in 2018, which will ruin their suit.

I'd love it if someone tried to file against me. After proving it's impossible I'd get an attorney to file against them for something along the lines of slander.

Let them sue and then let them experience the counter suits. After several rounds of looking stupid and being sued in return things might die down, allowing for breathing room while others reassess how to fight this law.

as women nationwide will see it as a republican take down of Roe v Wade.

It's the law of unintended consequences. It's also about dummie, busybodies not being able to see a huge backlash that should be right before their stupid eyes.

We can run on this in the mid-terms if it happens.

There are plenty of Republican women who are publicly pro life but vote pro choice. This could get some interesting midterms.

Could you need to receive a "medical abortion only" POA. I know I need provide same to the BMV so DH can get my vehicle registration tags though I can also do this by mail and, during CoVid at least, even on-line requests and payment by credit card/bank routing number. I doubt very much processing need include a notary stamp (for what that's worth) nor includes a signature match...

I'm sorry, but I think you also just blew the "cover" strategy so attorneys will now add a further routine charge of identity theft and forgery, which count will be then be withdrawn until they figure out the name of the real patient who received services.

LOL, witch hunt, I see this law could be counted as that 666th new TX law per :a different DU original poster https://democraticunderground.com/107855995

You don't need to register under your real name at a clinic. There are plenty of Jane Does. The day I took my friend she registered under Cyndi Lauper. It's all for privacy.

(Yep, it's been a long time but a coworker said when she took her daughter they registered her under a pseudonym- Natalie Portman.)

Btw-you could go to a clinic right now and subpoena those names but you'd never get them if they registered under a pseudonym.
