How can we get a movement going to boycott Texas?

We need to get big companies that have offices in Texas to look into moving their operations out of the state. We need sports teams to boycott the State.

I will never set foot in Texas or buy anything made in Texas.

Ann Richard's & Molly Ivins must be rolling over wherever they are.

I'm waiting to see if the "Build Back Better" makes headway on the subject of Climate Change. So much of TX economy is generated by fossil fuels. Weirdly Elon Musk moved some of his operations to Texas from California.

The toxic male is way out of control. And Texas suddenly seems totally Taliban-like. Complete with a power grid that doesn't work despite being a power generator.

Every time, we hear how much they are in play, and every time, we get our butts whipped there.

If/When DeSatan runs, we should just concede those states, because even after the last year, he has them locked down. We really need to focus on the states we already have in our win column, and hold onto those. Same with the Senate. The GOP will win those too. Ted Cruz is the biggest douchebag on earth, and he still won handily in his last election. And he's supposedly one of the most despised Senators out there, yet he keeps winning TX.

I don't think your post will age well.

I realize you don't want to give up, and wish to fight to save what's not left of our Democracy, but I honestly have lost hope.

FL has consistently broken the hearts of Democrats time after time after time after time after time......

He is going to win his election next year. Despite the quality of who the Democrats run against him. It won't surprise me if Rubio wins as well. Perhaps he is more vulnerable, but DeSatan is not.

He is also going to win the nomination, assuming Dipshit doesn't run, and if he does run, he'll probably name DeSatan as his running mate.

I am sorry for the downer. I really need to take a break from all this depressing news. Don't even get me started on the end to Roe v Wade. This country is pathetic and is a shithole, and that's how I feel it is destined to remain for my lifetime at least.

TFG won the state not once, but Twice.

You have a repub Governor. 2 repub Senators. There is only 1 Democrat that holds statewide office, and she's running for Governor.

You have no idea how glad I'd be if proven wrong in 14 months. Pointless to argue about it until then.

And, I agree with every nasty word stated herein and elsewhere. If I could, I would divide that state into at least ten new states in a grid-like pattern. Then I would do the same for that other state...you know, the one with more alligators and crazies than anywhere else on the planet. Okay, maybe just a boycott effort for now...but still...dividing them both up would create so many new jobs...

They keep making noises about ceding from the country, perhaps we can kick them out or threaten to if they don't start acting like they are part of this country. They could be put in a big hurt in several ways should the rest of the country tell them to take a fucking long walk off a short pier.

if it is possible for a democratic form of government to continue in a nation as large as the US. Dictatorships can control large territories, but regional differences make democracy harder to sustain. So I sometimes wonder if we are destined to eventually break up into smaller, regional nation states.

I hope not, but the differences do seem irreconcilable at times.

The Montgomery bus boycott worked because it was focused on a specific asset—i.e. the bus system of Montgomery, Alabama—for a specific reason—i.e. segregatory policies.

A general boycott of an entire state is far less focused and can backfire on the people you’re claiming to be supporting.

All its voters who voted Democratic in the last election (including yours truly) should just be cut loose. We were over 5.2 million in the last election that voted for Joe Biden. Unless you are from California or New York, how many people voted that way in your state? We WILL toss these people out eventually, but by fighting them, not by running away.
