However, the State does mysteriously have tons of services rendered through TX based contractors. Maybe I should get on their asses about that.

(38,958 posts)I haven't been in Texas since the 1980s and have no plans to go there for anything.
You might want to email the Texan Convention and Visitors Bureau and let them know that you will not be coming to their state for anything. Alternately you could ask for a travel guide to be sent to you and then toss it into the recycle bin (costs them moneyed labor to process it and ship it along with supporting the USPS a bit).
Just some ideas.

(8,674 posts)Nobody will boycott it. Watch the lines and fights at gas stations after Ida for that liquid cold. They got us all by the Conrads and grabbing pussies Willy Nilly. Since the multi billion dollar Trump fence washed away, Tell Mexicans to come settle in Texas and the government will give you 40 acres and a mule, and a Vaccine, and ID to vote. Taco trucks please.

(22,340 posts)Make sure all their employees know what they are getting into. If enough refuse to relocate, companies may think twice about moving there, especially companies with in-demand workforces that have a choice.
Austin may be a wonderful town, but Texas laws still rule there.

(19,958 posts)it sure would be fun if some "acrobatic" lawyers got together and concocted a similar dodgy approach to enable an end run around the 2nd Amendment--criminalizing gun sales and ownership.
