1. Not really what happened.

When Trump took over there were 7500 troops. Down from 100,000. The main withdrawal took place during the Obama administration. Trump took it from 7500 to 2500. Not really a huge change compared to what there was before and for a country the size of Afghanistan.

Nothing bonded President Biden to Doha. He could have rejected it on Jan 20 or later and did whatever he wanted. He did not just as he did not criticize Doha at the time even though the details were in the media and Biden was running for president at the time. Also no one in Democratic leadership criticized the agreement.

The position of POTUS is very powerful. Stop belittling it and saying Biden had no power to change anything if he wanted.
