3. My son lives on the Lower East Side

... but I think his building is up high enough, and he's on the 4th floor so they should be OK. The East River doesn't usually flood, does it? I thought most of the flooding happens on the southern tip of Manhattan.

It sucks to be homeless and sleeping in an abandoned subway tunnel though.

6. Phone went off with a "flash flood warning" about half hour ago.

I'm at 30 feet and its all downhill from here to the ocean. Not sure how we could have a flash flood.
