In another state who is working on getting to Texas' level of oppression thanking my lucky stars that I'm too old to have kids and I'm not in Texas.

This country is in the clutches of a regressive death cult. The majority do NOT agree, but by hook and by crook the minority have the upper hand in too many places.

Even met Sarah Weddington, the attorney who won the SCOTUS case, several years back. I don't forget shit like this, I'm a brown woman in the US. I have been watching what I knew was coming take place in real time and it's hard to bear.

A LOT more.

I'm calling ALL my DC reps first thing tomorrow. House AND Senate. Gonna do that EVERY day. And not just in Washington DC. Maybe their local district offices, too, dammit!

I fear we will be going into a very dark period, where not just women’s rights are in danger, but civil rights, and a whole slew of rights

The progress was so right and just.

When the VRA was gutted by SCOTUS it was a gut-punch, to know that in my own lifetime I could watch both the beginning and the ending of an era of hope and progress.

Last night, another gut-punch so bad I raged and then wept. Again, in my own lifetime I experienced both the beginning and the ending of an era of hope and progress.

These terrible regressions are brought to us courtesy of pretty much the same people.

The SCOTUS just gave us great leverage for the midterms. People are pissed and when this sinks in it will only get worse.

I made a pin with Kavanaugh crossed out in red with a tiny wire hanger dangling off of it 2 years ago. I just up-dated it. Now it's time for me to print it on my last plain/blank N95 mask.

The middle girl is in high school and so hot to trot with the love of her life that, “Is she pregnant yet?” apparently got to be a bit of a joke. As I told her grandma today, if she does get pregnant she better want that baby a whole lot if she stays in Texas.
