(3,120 posts)How in the hell do they have legal standing to sue if they haven't incurred damages?

Whether this law will be found constitutional is another matter. It might never get that far if a Texas law outlawing all abortion succeeded this one first -- after Roe was repealed. Case against Roe to be considered this fall, decision probably released next summer.
And my obvious addition to the brainstorm list:
Constitutionality, state and federal.

(2,641 posts)To regain some semblance of maturity as we are sent to the principal's office, I close with this rather apt quote:
Ill hate you women [...]. Some say that I talk of this eternally, yes, but eternal, too, is womans wickedness. Either let someone teach them to be chaste, or suffer me to trample on them forever.

I remember watching The Handmaids Tale the episode where they showed how it started, trickle trickle little bit at a time taking womens rights away. She had to have husband's permission for birth control, then she had to quit her job, and got worse and worse.

Have you, or is anyone you know, ever had unprotected sex before marriage?
That's what they are asking Texans to report.
I heard that She slept with Him. They went away for the weekend, six weeks after her last period. I know because we track her tampon purchases and useage.....
They want this to go to the supreme court.
Fuck Texas. Mail coat hangers to ALL Texas GOP.

(33,643 posts)Because I think the abortion providers are just going to decide it's not worth the risk and close up shop.
Pretty sure that's the actual goal here.

(6,377 posts)plenty of aholes who will look around to sue all those peripheral innocent people. It will be a cottage industry. In California, there are people who test out the ADA rules and sue any public facility who has ignorantly done something against those rules. Just going around looking for someone to sue...stealth pregnancies, coming up.
