I'm tired of waiting for whatever fresh outrage is finally going to motivate people

And I am not talking about just Democrats!

If, after the past 4 years...NO!..if after the past 40 YEARS...you aren't "motivated" to vote Retrumplicans out of power, you have lost your humanity.

We simply can't have a functioning, civil society if Retrumplicans are in power.

Unfortunately, we all have the same problem. We tend to not get motivated until something personally impacts us.

Zealots and fundamentalists are motivated much more by "how they can fuck other peoples shit up", than by how something impacts them. The cruelty is their motivation

Unless and until decent human beings begin to run in and win elections, and I mean elections from President of the United States, to President of the PTA, all of this "are we motivated yet" horseshit is an exercise in futility.

Without winning elections, we are "powerless". The Retrumplicans understand this.

Motivated? Hell, we can't even organize a boycott, or do anything about Hate Radio stations headquartered in DEM majority cities that spend 24/7 demonizing and dehumanizing 70 percent of the very residents of those cities.

NOBODY BETTER EVER ASK ME WHY THE PEOPLE OF AFGHANISTAN DIDN'T FIGHT BACK

But our institutions promote minority rule. And we can’t change this because of those same institutions. We can vote, but what if our votes are discarded? They tried real hard here in PA.
Is anyone on our side brainstorming for a solution?

Gerrymandering, voter suppression, outright cheating.

And the population just goes along with it.

I don’t see how we can end minority rule by “legitimate” means. Vote? They came close to negating my vote in PA. Maybe not in my lifetime, but this is not going to end well.

When we don't seem to be doing a great job here in our our country.

If you google "voting rights" you will find organizations fighting this battle.

I think we are going to have to start working harder to make sure we don't lose our country to autocratic rule.

Back up a truck to the treasury and keep people distracted by a few people (the ones they don’t like) getting a few nickels.

bothered to pay a minimum of attention as to what the fuck is going on. Can't be bothered to fill out a simple form every 2 years. People who think cynicism equals being informed. Along with a useless, corrupt press that is more interested in profits than informing the public. We're in trouble here and it's only just begun.

The Republican propaganda machine has worked for decades to sell these concepts. And to your average family raising middle American, participating in politics is like participating in something perverted and immoral. Would be easier to deal with if it were just apathy

Too many get dialed up to 11 on every damn issue, so it’s hard for the reasonably engaged to know exactly what the priority should be. Anyone that started paying attention in last 24 hours would believe abortion is it. Prior to that, leaving Afghanistan was the sole focus. Tomorrow, we’ll go back being anti-Desantis. And next week, the Capitol riot will be the big thing. We’re all over the map. And granted—there’s a lot to be angry about.

Also, we need something to rejoice over before the midterms. I’m hoping by the midterms, it’s our victory over COVID. I see it as the one big thing that’s tearing us apart, not to mention literally killing people.
