General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI think I'll sue every Walmart in Texas that sells coat hangers
As well as every Walmart employee, coat hanger manufacturers, supply chains that provide materials for coat hangers, truck drivers that deliver coat hangers, gas stations that sell gas to truck drivers, my neighbor that does not properly dispose of their coat hangers, and could therefore be used in an abortion, trash collectors and refuge companies that don't properly melt down coat hangers, thus rendering them incapable of being used in an abortion, stores that don't ask "hey, what are you buying these coat hangers for"?
I think I will sue any coat hanger company that doesn't provide specific language that their product cannot be used for abortion. Ah hell, I will just sue them anyway, because if they fail to show up in court, I'm rich.
So just think for a moment. Could you imagine the Supreme Court allowing such a law to take effect if it were guns we were talking about.
All I can say is; "thank god our courts haven't been politicized!

but whos to say someone seeking an abortion wont have one item cleaned so they can get a coat hanger?
Also look at people selling Lysol, which was once used to do abortions.

(8,329 posts)Viagra, Cialis, the lot. Old guys like me should not need help to knock up our 23 year old girlfriend after divorcing our third wife.
Another thought, since it takes two to make a baby, should the fine be split between the father and mother, better yet, chemical castration for the biological father
At 10,000 a pop we are bound to win a few law suits

As for Viagra goes, let's not kid ourselves.
If men were the ones that got pregnant, not only would abortion be legal at any point of pregnancy, it would be available at 7/11 and tax deductable.

Jut wondering. 'Cause those are the ones that have been used for do-it-yourself abortions. You can't straighten out a plastic hanger like you can a wire one.
I hate to be a wet blanket, but.....

(16,389 posts)The ones I'm talking about are all wire. Those are only kind that can be completely straightened out to a long straight piece of wire. It looks like Walmart does sell them!

(2,787 posts)Just wait until there are a few suicides of pregnant women who saw no other way out. THEN sue the gun makers, gun sellers, etc., as baby killers - ala the TX law.
