How much money did we spend on this 20yr war in Afghanistan?
Think about what that money could have done with shoring up our infrastructure to prevent the destruction we're seeing in the Northeast.
How long have the Repugs been denying climate change and ignoring the science?
How many 'infrastructure weeks' did we have over the span of TFG's administration - where nothing ever came of them?
This morning I turned to a station on my satellite TV that features all the cable news stations.
All the stations - except Fox - were focused on the Northeast storm damage. Fox was focused on slamming Biden on Afghanistan.
People of the U.S. - wake the hell up. The Repug's and the Right Wing media wants to destroy this country and our democracy.
How much more of this can we take?
Look at how they treat this pandemic. the vaccines. the masks.
Look what is going on across the country with respect to voter suppression and gerrymandering - so that they can cheat to win in 2022 and 2024.
Look at what is going on in Texas with respect to abortion.
Look at how they manipulated SCOTUS in their favor. What about all the other judicial appointments they've made? Everything they do is just another nail in the coffin to our democracy.
Look at the 1/6 insurrection at the Capitol. Look at how they are trying to tell us what we saw happen didn't happen. Look at how they are trying very hard to sabotage the Congressional investigation of that insurrection. What are they hiding?
Again people - wake the hell up. The Repugs must be defeated or we are sunk.
And you Dems in Congress - House and Senate - do your jobs. Do what you promised us you'd do if we elected you. And do it now and fast before it is too late.
One thing you can say about the Repugs - you got to hand it to them. They go full speed ahead and damn the torpedo's when they are trying to destroy us.
We Dems need to take some lessons from them and fight fire with fire. If we continue along the path we're on - we won't be able to 'Stop Their Steal' of our country.
Thank you for letting me vent here. I don't know how much more of this continuous bad news that we deal with every day.
We need to pass the infrastructure bill; the voting rights bill; we need to hold the Repugs accountable for all their crimes; we need to add seats to SCOTUS.
We have a lot of work that needs to be done in a short time. Let's get started.
