Ive been here 68 years and with the exception of the ice storm in 1958 or thereabouts, I have never seen anything like this. We have water flowing on our interstates as though its a river, and the problem is its not even moving that fast its just sitting there. I rarely watch TV with my mouth agape but I am today.

(27,322 posts)This is minor compared with you. The problem is we have no infrastructure to clean up a mess like this in a timely fashion. And we have predatory contractors who are going to really mess things up long-term for homeowners and small businesses.

(65,626 posts)I was lucky. No flooding at my house, no severe weather, and power stayed on even though it briefly went out once.
The flooding is bad enough but it seems we have turned into tornado alley east. Already 4 tornadoes confirmed in PA and NJ. The Upper Dublin PA tornado just got an EF2 rating.
