My idea for getting the vaccination rates

We announce that on October 1st, the cost of the vaccine will go up to $1000 a dose. There will be a rush to beat the date. Afterwards, there will be a huge complaint that we are hurting the poor. So we get AOC to set up some nonprofit that distributes to the "needy". (We don't really care if they are needy, just that they come to try to save a buck). We also involve the CIA to create a shadow organization that appears to be some sort of "black market" channel selling "cut rate" vaccines. Finally, we involve high end organizations (country clubs, executive organizations, etc.) to arrange for them to get vaccines for "only" $800, making them feel that their wealth gives them privileged access to the vaccine. Basically the whole plan is to convince people that they are clever, privileged, or otherwise finding ways to "get around the system". You could even find the right old republican to set up some "vaccines for the GOP" effort getting rich republicans to "undermine the Biden administration and own the libs".

1. Very Clever

Unfortunately, the problem in my county (just over 50% vaccination rate and massive case rate) is that we have a ton of full-on anti-vaxxers who don't believe in ANY vaccines - not just Covid.

We have our share of MAGAs too, but we are in very deep trouble here. Our hospitals are overrun and overloaded. I had my own surgery cancelled and my husband's hip replacement is looking iffy.

I will volunteer to man the booth at the country club though.

2. No way. That would stop middle class folks from getting it, do more harm than good. Instead:

1. Jack up health insurance rates substantially for everyone who is qualified but hasn't been vaccinated, unless they have a written doctor's excuse for why they can't have it safely
2. Mandate proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test to go to everything fun - sporting events in stadiums or arenas, movies, concerts, festivals, conferences, indoor restaurants, etc. as well as public universities/colleges/high schools, etc.
3. Make the unvaxxed pay for the repeated COVID tests they will need.
4. Prohibit the unvaxxed from flying on airlines - when you're sitting inches away from someone, a negative COVID test is not enough.
5. Make hospitals triage and give lower priority for ICU beds to the willfully unvaxxed, if there are not enough beds for people who need critical care. They should not take an ICU bed or ventilator from someone who had a heart attack, car crash victims, etc.

3. Re-label Covid-19 vax as Ivermectin. Stamped the packages "Certified Free

of Tracking and Monitoring Microchips." Make it convenient for the ignorati to steal crates of it and hold their on clinics.

4. I stand by my original plan

Tranquilizer darts with the vaccine inside.

We can even make it a bounty so that all the gun nuts will be really torn between "freedumb" and getting paid to shoot someone.
