(14,624 posts)Hes a Democrat but also a devout catholic and very pro-forced-birth, I mean pro-life. I generally like him but hate is stance on abortion.
You cant throw a rock without hitting a catholic in the New Orleans area. I know many that are otherwise very liberal, but have mixed feelings about abortion.
If Edwards decided to follow Texas, he wouldnt get much pushback.

Lackland AFB is HUGE. My husband remarked how much it had grown since he was last there in 1962. We were there for a week in March of 2018.
There is also Randolph AFB. Ft. Hood, numerous Army and Marine facilities, as well as Naval Stations in Ft. Worth and elsewhere. The businesses around these facilities would go bust. For they rely on them as well.

There are also smaller ones that are mostly reserve stations scattered about....
