Bizarre Anti-Mask Claims At School Board Meeting Stun Don Lemon Into Silence

School board meetings have been erupting into chaos over mask mandates and other measures intended to stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

As CNN’s Don Lemon pointed out on Tuesday, the American Academy of Pediatrics said cases among children have risen fivefold over the past month amid the surge of the delta variant. More than 200,000 children tested positive for COVID-19 just last week.

Yet right wing trolls have invaded school board meetings to stop mitigation efforts, with one in Lee County, Florida, leading to physical brawls outside and such head-spinning claims inside that Lemon was silent for four seconds before responding:

That's from Steve Bannon/Michael Flynn's playbook.

I wish some of these school board meetings will make a rule that only parents and students are allowed to speak and for the schools the parents kids go to be announced before they go up to the podium.
I know "the general public" should have a right to comment, but, some woman from North Carolina traveling through California was identified as being one of the lead anti -mask protester attending school board meetings recently.
She'd contact the local mega-church and get a game plan going amongst the locals. Then off to the next major school district on her list.

They pay to organize these events.

Same script being read at different places. Suddenly dozens of people appear to publicly yell about something that has barely been mentioned, as in the case of critical race theory, which isn't even a thing, overnight became a national talking point.
they know that tv coverage will stick to loud and often physical disagreements...so you get yelling and waving of arms and storming around, all for the cameras.

That was mask optional. There have been so many cases now they are back on a mask mandate. I was shocked to hear that.
