Voting rights, climate change, $3.5 trillion infrastructure, anti-Trump and etc. The SCOTUS and abortion is the one issue on which we can coallesce. I have more hope now than yesterday!

Wendy Davis ran on this and lost big time....

I think with regards to Texas, I personally know a pro-lifer (he works for the diocese), he is a Democrat though. The snitching thing is what bothers him about the bill....It isn't just about abortion, it's about snitching on people and lawsuit abuse...So framing it as "vigilantes want to turn people in" is the key...

So many people don't see abortion as affecting them, but then when they think of people spying on people and snitching on people and possibly being framed and lawsuit abuse, it changes their mind......

Abortion is something very private, so the snitching thing is kinda like someone spying in your bedroom....It's ironic that snitching on people for using drugs or something like that won't elicit the same visceral reaction as spying on someone who is getting an abortion.

And the Right to Life people purposely wrote the spying/snitching part because they knew the bill would not pass if the bill called for doctors to get their license revoked or criminal penalties for providers.
