What I want to see from Dems today... We elected you!

Oh, wait...

I only voted in one of 435 congressional districts and in two Senate races in 2020. I'm in no position to dictate to all Democrats. I can justifiably tell those I voted for what I want them to do. None of the rest are interested. They're accountable to their own constituencies, I'm sure.

I have no standing to make demands on any others, no matter how strongly I feel.

Some people apparently don't get how this all works...

Elected legislators are beholden to voters in their districts. MineralMan Sep 2021 #2
They are more beholden to the people who financed their campaigns than the people of the district. Chainfire Sep 2021 #3

you'd be 100% right.

What they do affects us all. They can certainly filter input giving priority to those in their own districts and most do. But they should also consider what is good for the country. Especially those on committees and in leadership positions.

Minority rule in any form sucks.

They can consider other inputs, but rarely do. To expect otherwise is foolish.

It's been shown that what billionaires and corporations want from Congress, they get.

Regular people get ignored.
