Fertilized egg/embryo/fetus/ child?
I was wondering about this and couldn't think it through.
Any insurance gurus have an answer?

(1,364 posts)If the pregnant mother is incarcerated - won't it be illegal to incarcerate the fetus? How about a child tax credit - does the fetus get a child tax credit? How about food stamps - is the fetus eligible for food stamps? How about social security payments if father passes while mother is pregnant - does the fetus have the right to social security payments? Can the fetus get disability benefits or disability insurance? The list is endless.

(13,767 posts)Barring illegal activities or specific legal restrictions, I think you can buy insurance for almost anything, if you can find an agreeable insurer.
Not an insurance guru.

(102,262 posts)if you can find the right insurer. I can't imagine it being practical for anyone and any bad outcome would be subject to the most intense (and likely offensively invasive ) investigation possible.
