They already won't be part of the Paris Climate accord. Same with India I believe. Combined that is a large source of the world's carbon emissions

... and has, by far, the harshest impacts on people now living in poverty.
It's a highly regressive tax.
The only way out of this mess is to BAN FOSSIL FUELS.
Pick a target date, something less than twenty years, and fucking do it.

I dont think that sacrificing a pile of money on the alter every year will change that amount of carbon in the atmosphere.
