Planned Parenthood of Texas has just filed for a temporary restraining order against Texas Right To Life. Anti-abortion activists are already staking out our health centers, surveilling our providers, and threatening our patients.

NEW YORK Planned Parenthood affiliates in Texas filed for a temporary restraining order against an anti-abortion group in the latest stage of the fight for abortion rights.
The request is to stop Texas Right to Life and associates from suing Planned Parenthood abortion providers and health care workers under Senate Bill 8, the six-week abortion ban that went into effect in Texas this week that is the most restrictive abortion law in effect in the nation.
S.B. 8 curiously prohibits the state from enforcing the ban but allows private citizens to bring civil suits against anyone who "aids or abets" an abortion.
Texas Right to Life has been at the forefront of the push for civilians to enforce the ban and has launched a website for people to submit claims that they know someone who gave or aided an abortion after six weeks of pregnancy.

(823 posts)It is not about these anti abortion folks being there, they have always been there and they can't be forced to leave because of distance guidelines established by the courts. What these fucks are going to do is take a photo of every car license plate using the facilities and take pics of the patrons to identify them through facial recognition. What they will do with this info is report EVERY SINGLE PATRON, male or female, forcing those patrons to prove they did not get an abortion or aid in the process. It won't matter if the facility actually provides the service or not, it is about intimidation and forced court costs. This will destroy planned parenthood here in Texas. Keep in mind, some of the patrons are young women attending Baylor University and away from home for the first time. These young women used to be able to get information and birth control without their parents being informed. Now, however, these young women will be outed to their parents by these fucks possible destroying the lives of these women. I can not stress enough how dangerous this law is for everyone who uses these services.

(18,903 posts)pregnant women, and on healthcare providers who do abortions.
Believe me, that "bounty" won't stop at that $10,000. Xtian crazies will take lives to prevent abortions. I know, you don't have to explain how crazy that is.
When it comes to appeasing their mythical angry sky daddy, there's no end to their craziness.

(32,356 posts)Planned Parenthood needs to name names on their website. Identify those who are stalking the PP clinics, and launching private lawsuits against them, with names, addresses and phone numbers.

(15,214 posts)Abbutt a fringe benefit with his stupid gun legislation passing at the same time. No background checks, nothing. So any crazy can get a gun and kill someone they think is at this clinic to get an abortion.
